The Experience of Being Human

In this blog, I want to explore the experience of being human.

The experience of being human cannot be understood
  through pontification,
  nor through rational analysis.

One cannot understand being human
from the safe distance of feigned objectivity
or moralizing and judgment of others.

Being human can only be understood
through walking day-to-day through this life,
witnessing events that come to us,
experiencing our own responses to those events,
  allowing ourselves to feel,
  really feel,
especially those feelings that seem to be dark
  and confusing.

In this honest experience with our walk through life,
  we can find our questions,
  and experiment with our answers.

We can learn what it is to be human,
strive to understand who we are,
endeavor to develop into our greatest potential...

So, I write this blog to explore my own experience
  of being human.

I will dare to share the darkest corners of my soul,
for it is through journeying to these places
that I have been able to learn the deepest truths for
  my own life.

I will strive to be honest, even when I feel vulnerable,
for I believe the gift I can give as a writer,
is somewhere couched in my sharing the
  raw, ragged, not-so-perfect picture
of a spirit-embodied journeying through this life.

I do not promise answers,
  or even the 'right' questions'.
Each of us has to define our own questions
  and find our own answers.
I do promise to share, as honestly as I can,
  the journey.
